Trails to Off-Road
Whistler is home to incredible off-road cycling. Ski lift-serviced downhill runs, cross country trails, extreme free-rides and family tours all exist in spectacular west coast scenery.
The Gentle Valley Trail
The gentle Whistler Valley Trail, 30 kilometres or 18.6 miles in length, winds through the Valley.
Whistler Village is the pedestrian-oriented hub of the valley and is linked from Whistler Creek in the south to Emerald Estates in the north by over 30 km of paved multi-use Valley Trail. This scenic and relatively flat route accesses several municipal parks such as Meadow, Rainbow, Beach, Lost Lake, Wayside, Lakeside and Alpha Lake Parks.
Off-Road Mountain Biking
Whistler’s Coast Mountain topography dictates that most involve fairly steep and rocky terrain. The Whistler Valley hosts an extensive network of trails for riders of all abilities. Epic rides like Comfortably Numb, provide Whistler riders with a huge range of riding.
Over 40 maintained trails will challenge newbies to the most hard core rider.

With 70 km of trails between Whistler and Squamish, this bike race has been the ‘Final Exam’ for many enthusiasts. The Cheakamus Challenge has been around for more than 20 years and is known for the gorgeous views and punishing terrain.
